We are offering two courses as follows:
Beginners: for participants ages 7 to 11 years old (as of January 19, 2023). No prior musical theatre experience is required.
Advanced: for participants ages 12 to 16 years old (as of January 19, 2023).
If you are not sure which level of course to register in please contact our Artistic Director, Melanie Baux, at email@example.com to confirm.
Rehearsals and performances take place at the Swamp Donkey Theatre in Bragg Creek. Regular rehearsals take place on Thursday evenings at the times listed below.
The course culminates with a fully staged musical revue featuring songs from a number of different musicals before live audiences.
All costs including scripts, scores, costumes, props, etc. are included in the registration fee.
Course participants should be available for ALL regular rehearsals, tech week rehearsals, and performances listed below unless approval is provided by our Artistic Director, Melanie Baux in writing PRIOR to registration (firstname.lastname@example.org).

Students should be prepared to sing a song of their choosing, preferably a musical theatre song, at the first rehearsal. Please bring an accompaniment track for the song to the first rehearsal. This song sharing opportunity will help us to get to know each other and assess which role is best suited to each student. All students will be cast in roles in the performance.
Participants must complete the requisite forms in order to participate in the course. The forms can be found at https://swampdonkeytheatre.ca/forms/. Please submit the forms to us by email at email@example.com prior to the first class or in-person at the first class. Students are NOT permitted to participate until ALL forms are submitted.
* Please note the course description outlined above will depend on COVID-19 restrictions in place at the time of the course and is subject to change.
*Please note this schedule is subject to change prior to registration.
