Board of Directors

Trisha is a long-time resident of Bragg Creek. In her youth, she was involved in community musical theatre and recognized the benefits performing arts provide to both participants and the greater community. She founded the Swamp Donkey Musical Theatre Society in order to provide musical theatre performance and educational opportunities in Bragg Creek. She is actively involved in all aspects of the theatre including directing productions, performing, set design, and teaching youth performers. In addition to her volunteer work with Swamp Donkey Musical Theatre, Trisha teaches speech arts and drama at the Mount Royal University Conservatory. She is an avid community volunteer and has served on a number of volunteer boards in the community including the Redwood Meadows Community Association, the Bragg Creek Community Association, and the Banded Peak School Council. Trisha earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Alberta.

Gordon became actively involved in the theatre community by following his wife and children’s the love of music and theatre. Gordon’s previous served on boards of Storybook Theatre and Cochrane Minor Hockey.

Alyssa has loved theatre for as long as she can remember. After moving to Calgary from Edmonton, she was grateful to find Swamp Donkey and has been involved in shows with the company since 2023. Outside of theatre, Alyssa works as a therapist. What she loves most about Swamp Donkey is the sense of community and, especially, the wonderful women she has had the chance to meet and create with along the way. She feels very lucky to have found such a welcoming group and is excited to contribute to the organization as a member of the board.

Trevor has a PhD (Carleton University) and MA (University of Ottawa) in Criminology and joins Swamp Donkey from Canmore, where he works as an Evaluation Manager with Indigenous Services Canada.
